10 Bands That Only Have One Key Member
6. Tobias Forge - Ghost
Every hard rock band knows the power behind creating some sort of mystique behind your band. The mystery behind seeing KISS without their makeup on drove people wild back in the '70s, and even acts like Slipknot made fans wonder just what kind of maniacs were hiding underneath all of those masks. It's one thing to give people just a great show, but Ghost were trying everything in their power to become hermits behind the scenes.
For the first few years of the band's existence, the crazy world that Tobias Forge had created was also one of the most enigmatic rock acts out there, with most people unaware of what the band members even looked like behind their ghoulish stage getups. And that seems to be the trend going forward as well, with only Tobias actually coming forward as one of the core components of the band. Creating the band from the ground up, he was looking to make the kind of band that would have killed it on the '70s rock scene, comparing the guitar sounds to guitarists from the '60s who went down a much darker path.
In between the more pop leaning material like Square Hammer and Cirice though, there isn't really a chance that you will see any of the other members any time soon, never revealing their identities and always being billed as Nameless Ghouls both on the album sleeves and in the live shows. Who knows? There's a good chance that by the time Ghost eventually packs it in, we'll eventually find out that someone like Dave Grohl was a secret member the whole time.
