10 Bands Whose New Albums Can't Come Soon Enough

2. Tool

Holy crap, do I even need to say it? Taking the mantle as the new age Chinese Democracy, Tool's next album has been vaguely hinted at since 2006's 10,000 Days. EIGHT YEARS! In those eight years, we've seen the release of Guns N Roses' Chinese Democracy, Duke Nukem Forever, the collapse and reconstruction of various governments... multiple times, two generations of video game hardware, and seven or so records from Portugal The Man. Yet, still no Tool record. To be fair, its probably because the band's been occupied with other projects instead of taking a really slow pace, a la Guns N' Roses. Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan has been enjoying various side projects; like Puscifer - a revival of A Perfect Circle, and dabbling in the wine industry, but now that its being widely reported that the album will be coming out before 2015 the band had better get on it unless they get a kick out of giving fans musical blue balls. However, every time a release window is pinned on the album, the band denies it, including a recently widely reported incident with guitarist Adam Jones telling a fan backstage that the album was finished. It looks like we have to play the waiting game.
