10 Best Bring Me The Horizon Songs

1. Crucify Me – There Is A Hell… (2010)

‘Crucify Me’ is the perfect opener for the band’s third album. With its six-minute runtime, the track encapsulates so much of what makes There Is A Hell… so great.

Sykes screams through some of the most beautiful lyrics he’s ever written and delves into themes of internal turmoil with plenty of biblical imagery.

Just like ‘Don’t Go’, ‘Crucify Me’ features Lights as a guest vocalist. Again, her voice works wonders alongside Sykes and never feels out of place.

The electronics in this track are also commendable. In addition to the atmospheric introduction, Lights’ vocals are chopped up several times throughout this song. Far from feeling disconcerting, these moments heighten the track’s sense of madness and instability.

The closing section of ‘Crucify Me’ is wrought with emotion as the song comes to a wicked climax. The transition from Sykes and the heavy instrumental into Lights and the acoustic guitar is a beautiful way to end the track.

‘Crucify Me’ may not be an anthemic crowd-pleaser, but it's the best example of Bring Me The Horizon’s ability to package a range of styles into a cohesive, emotional tune riddled with anguish.
