10 Best Bring Me The Horizon Songs
7. Ludens – Death Stranding: Timefall (2019)
Made for the videogame Death Stranding, this recent track is essentially a grand tour of Bring Me The Horizon’s evolution throughout the years.
The opening section of ‘Ludens’ sounds reminiscent of their most recent record (Amo), but as the track progresses it morphs into something completely different.
The chorus carries a wonderful hook that’s the catchiest the band have written since ‘Avalanche’. The electronics from Fish ripple through this section and help give the track an otherworldly, atmospheric flavour.
As for the bridge, Sykes’ screams – which were largely absent from Amo – make a crunching return here. Those who doubted whether he could still scream were proven wrong when they heard ‘Ludens’.
Though a single track can’t be representative of Bring Me The Horizon’s whole career, this song is probably the best example of the band’s ability to take on a range of styles.
