5. Killshot - Eminem (2018)
A surefire way to establish yourself as a rapper to be reckoned with is by calling out an icon from the past. Machine Gun Kelly did just this when he famously attempted to take down Eminem in 2018. Kelly isn't everyone's cup of tea, and you do get the sense he's more about the image than the music. But for all that, Rap Devil had its moments. You have to give props to a guy for taking aim at one of the most highly skilled rappers ever to pick up a mic.
The feud all started back in the early 2010s when Kelly tweeted about Em's daughter; talk about poking a sleeping bear. Eminem released Kamikaze in 2018, an album which contained Not Alike, taking aim at Kelly for his previous comments. Rap Devil was a bold but unwise response. For almost five minutes, Kelly berated Em and alluded to the fact he would sleep with Em's ex-partner, Kim.
Eminem took aim with Killshot. He expertly refuted Kelly's insults, humorously referring to each line. Em's always had a knack for turning insults around on whoever dished them out. This was no different. With Kelly now straying into the realm of pop-punk, it seems Em's response was enough to send him scuttling into a softer form of music.
