10 Best Female Guitarists Of All Time

4. Jennifer Batten

The first of two people to feature on this list who have the honour of saying they were the King of Pop's official lead guitarist, Jennifer Batten rose to fame during Michael Jackson's three world tours between 1987 and 1997.

Having played since the age of eight with the experimental two-handed tapping technique, Jennifer's time with Jackson coincided with the singer's legendary 1993 halftime Super Bowl performance, putting her in front of an estimated 1.3 billion people, an absolute world record for largest ever viewership recorded at the time.

Awarded the She Rocks Icon Award in 2016 in recognition of her contributions for women in the music industry, Jennifer has also released two books on her unique two-handed tapping technique. She also has a seriously cool presence on platforms such as YouTube, regularly collaborating with channels such as Premier Guitar and Guitarist on rig rundowns, song tutorials and brilliant tales from her time as a Queen of Rock.

Horror fan, gamer, all round subpar content creator. Strongly believes that Toad is the real hero of the Mario universe, and that we've probably had enough Batman origin stories.
