Spookiest Line: Use your finger to stir my tea/and for dessert I'll suck your teeth

Kesha has had a heavily publicised torrid time of it these last few years. After several years in the wilderness dealing with sexual assault lawsuits, Kesha came back with a bang last year with Rainbow. The album is easily her most mature to date, blending pop, country and glam stylings together with lyrics of forgiveness, progress and self-help. Surprisingly, considering how arduous the time between albums 2 and 3 were, it never gets particularly dark either.

Kesha's first album Animal definitely does though. Back when Kesha was a party chick and spelling her name with a dollar sign, some of her lyrics were jet black. It was just a little difficult to see with all that glitter on her face. Cannibal is the prime example of that. The song is basically about Kesha rejecting a boy, suspecting he only wants her for her fame. It's a theme she's leaned on through her career in the likes of Thinking Of You too.

Here though, rather than just reject him, she describes in hypnotic electropop all the ways she plans to digest his various body parts, Hannibal Lecter style.
