10 Best Hard Rock Bands Not In The Hall Of Fame

6. Whitesnake

Been Eligible Since: 2003

After his three-year stint with Deep Purple, David Coverdale went on to form Whitesnake in 1978, combining the blues-heavy music of his previous band with the glam rock elements that were starting to emerge by the end of the decade.

Since their formation, the band has released thirteen studio albums, most notably their self-titled 1987 effort that included tracks such as "Is This Love", "Still of the Night" and "Here I Go Again", all of which have become staples of the band's discography. Currently touring for their latest album, 2019's Flesh and Blood, the band have embarked on 20 live tours, and show no signs of stopping in the coming years.

Credit where credit is due, David Coverdale himself is already in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, having been inducted as a member of Deep Purple in 2016. Despite this, it's hard to ignore the achievements of Whitesnake and the impact they had on hard rock from the 1980's to today. Many other artists have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame more than once, and given how popular of a band Whitesnake is, maybe it's about time that they were given some recognition as well?
