10 Best Linkin Park Songs
9. In My Remains - Living Things (2012)
Living Things is an odd album. After plenty of experimentation with Minutes to Midnight and A Thousand Suns, Linkin Park’s fifth studio album was closer to their original sound but with a greater electronic influence.
Possibly because it comes between the opening song ('Lost In The Echo') and one of the band’s biggest singles ('Burn It Down'), 'In My Remains' is another track that doesn’t get enough attention.
Granted, the structure is predictable, but there’s no denying the impact of the chorus with its fusion of power chords and Bennington’s impassioned vocal delivery.
However, the crowning jewel of the track is the bridge. ‘Like an army falling one by one by one’ is a line that gets instantly stuck in your head, and when said line continues into the third chorus it makes for a wonderful climax to the song.
Living Things may not be the band's best album, but songs like 'In My Remains' remind us why it's still worth listening to.
