10 Best Number One Rock Albums Of The 2010s

5. The Suburbs - Arcade Fire

Much like Mr. White, Canadian indie rock menagerie Arcade Fire also scored a perfect 3/3 with their studio releases in the 2010s.

Alongside the albums Reflektor and Everything Now, the band also peaked with The Suburbs, which enjoyed a single week at the top in August of 2010. One week was more than enough for this collection of songs inspired by growing up in a small Texas settlement, as it remains in the conversation for best album of the entire decade.

Several publications revelled in the band's return to form after a bumpy few years, drinking in the weighty, yet relatable subject matter of songs like Modern Man and City with No Children. It won Album of the Year at the 2011 Grammys, beating out the likes of Eminem, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry to do so.

It also appeared in year-end "Best of" lists by both MTV and Pitchfork, which is about as varied as it comes in the world of music journalism.

Liked by most, worshipped by some, The Suburbs set up a very promising decade for the Arcade Fire boys and girls.
