10 Best One-Album Wonders In Rock Music History

4. Maybe You’ve Been Brainwashed Too - New Radicals

Duo Greeg Alexander and Danielle Brisebois are better known as New Radicals.

And even then, they're not that well known, because they were only around for about five minutes.

New Radicals got together in 1997 and put out their debut album the following year. Maybe You've Been Brainwashed Too did very well; it was the the 126th best-selling album in all of America that year with sales of over one million.

And, because we were suckers for US soft rock back then, it went to number 10 in the UK.

Sadly, fame has a price and the pressure of stardom took its toll on Alexander.

Two weeks out from the release of the group's second single, Alexander announced that the band was over, stating that he wasn't enjoying the band's touring and press schedule.

He and Brisebois have worked together since then, even getting an Oscar nomination in 2015, but they've never put out another record under the New Radicals name.

They did however reform to perform You Get What You Give at the inauguration ceremony of President Joe Biden, in one of the strangest comebacks in rock music history.
