10 Best One-Album Wonders In Rock Music History

5. Dead Letters - The Rasmus

It seems a little unfair to call The Rasmus a one-album wonder, considering how popular they are in their native land.

In Finland, the band have scored eight top ten albums, four of which went to number one.

They even represented the country at Eurovision! And Finland actually care about that!

However, unfortunately, this list is based on performances in the US and UK only.

Sue us.

The Rasmus have only had two albums chart in Britain. One was 2005's Hide from the Sun, which reached number 65. The other was Dead Letters from three years earlier, which did much better.

It cracked the top ten and gave the group their only UK certification. It also gifted the UK the song In The Shadows, which will live on via noughties rock compilations CDs forever.

For whatever reason, the British public had had enough of The Rasmus after just one helping. You could say that their career in the country was... Finnish-ed... sorry.

But hey, despite what this list might imply, there are other markets out there.

The Rasmus are probably doing just fine being one of the biggest musical acts in Finland's history.
