10 Best Rappers Of All Time

5. 2pac

There are a lot of people who love 2pac and there's a tonne of people who dislike him too. Wherever your allegiances lie, no one can deny the effect he had on hip hop. In terms of skill, he probably wasn't the most technical lyricist ever but his brutally honest lyrics about his life, feelings and thoughts on certain subjects endeared many people to him instantly.

He was a rebel, an anti-establishment force who seemed to fear no man on the planet and it came across in his songs - after all, you've got to be a real gangster if you're willing to tattoo 'Thug Life' across your belly. Although he was a rap legend, some of his more heartfelt work is even better than that, with tracks like Do For Love and Changes still getting heavy rotation on streaming sites and urban radio today.

Due to the sheer number of records Pac made before he was killed, it almost seems as if some of his work became watered down in terms of quality. However, if you listen to his essential records you'll understand why so many people love think of him as the best to ever do it.
