The first replacement drummer for original sticksman Peter Criss in the famed glam rock outfit faced less creative input than his predecessor throughout his tenure - but many agree that as a musician, The Fox had him beat with his sense of rhythm and skill behind the kit.

Alas, Carr was only to enjoy just over a fruitful decade with the band, including their move away from makeup, before his life was tragically cut short.
