10 Best Rock Music Album Openers Of The 2010s

7. My Name Is Human - Highly Suspect (The Boy Who Died Wolf)

Consisting of a pair of twin brothers (and some people who aren't related), Massachusetts band Highly Suspect are just four albums into their recording career at time of writing.

So far, their most successful album in terms of the charts is 2016's The Boy Who Died Wolf (great name) and their most successful single is its opening track, My Name is Human.

According to singer and guitarist Johnny Stevens, the song isn't actually about being human at all. It's about the "people" who live among us who call themselves human, but are anything but.

"The androids, the aliens. . . They aren’t coming." he told Vanity Fair. "We are here."

Sounds like this guy might be watching a little too much Doctor Who.

Slightly freaky comments to one side, My Name is Human is a thumping way to kick off an album. The music flows perfectly from slow and considered to explosively angry, with Stevens' fast-paced vocals matching them all the way.

The song is instantly memorable and there's a reason why it's become the band's signature tune. Now can somebody please tell Stevens that he's not actually a robot?

Unless he is...
