10 Best Rock Music Album Openers Of The 2010s

6. The Phoenix - Fall Out Boy (Save Rock And Roll)

The rock world mourned in 2009, as beloved band Fall Out Boy announced they were taking a break. They were struggling creatively and many wondered if they'd ever return.

Thankfully, they did.

Save Rock and Roll from 2013 announced the band's comeback in a big way. Much like with Paramore, they'd also changed things up and were not afraid to incorporate more mainstream elements into their music.

This album features Elton John, for god's sake. How much more mainstream can you get?

Whilst My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark is the one most people will remember from this album, the song that comes before it on the tracklist is just as impactful.

Titling the first song on a comeback album 'The Phoenix' might seem a little clichéd, but this one more than lives up to its name. From the moment it starts, The Phoenix is a ravenous cacophony of strings, guitars, and some of Patrick Stump's best ever vocals.

Fans were expecting big things from the re-emergence of one of the best and they were certainly not disappointed by this thunderous opening track.
