10 Best Rock Music Videos Of 2023 (So Far)

3. Lost - Bring Me The Horizon

Those of a squeamish disposition, look away now!

The video for Bring Me the Horizon's single Lost (no relation to the Linkin Park track) kicks off with frontman Oli Sykes waking up midway through brain surgery.

The top of the singer's head has been completely removed, showcasing a very realistic looking brain sticking out of the top of his dome. Sykes then proceeds to kill the people operating on him in bloody fashion before scarpering.

Nobody's vomited yet? Good.

The gratuitous bloodshed doesn't ease off throughout the video, which sees Sykes try and escape the demented hospital where he finds himself trapped. It's all a big metaphor for being stuck inside one's mental state, but let's face it, we're all here to see the people explode.

This will not be to everyone's tastes, that's for sure, but there's no denying just how much effort went into making this video as eye-catching as possible.

It's one of the goriest videos from a mainstream band in quite some time, which is easily this promo's greatest strength. The messaging might be as subtle as a scalpel to the eye, but Lost is so much fun to watch in the most twisted of ways.
