10 Best Rock Songs For Working Out

2. AC/DC - You Shook Me All Night Long

Being blatantly honest, just about any AC/DC single could fill this spot. They've got their sound, they've got their formula, and they've got it down to a science.

AC/DC is arena rock at its very best. That sort of fist-pumping anthem works very, very well in terms of a workout track. In this case, we're going with You Shook Me All Night Long for a rather obvious reason — because frankly, a good workout should get you moving and shaking. And this song absolutely does that.

In terms of the band's history, You Shook Me All Night Long was both a hit and a song that came at a crucial point that might have seen lesser acts call it a career. It's the first single with Brian Johnson, who replaced the late Bon Scott after he died of alcohol poisoning in 1980. It can be found on Back in Black, and frankly, there's plenty of songs on that album that you can workout to, and never skip a beat.

VH1 (are they still a thing?) ranked the song at #1 of it's Best AC/DC Songs of All-Time list, and at #10 among the 100 Greatest Songs of the 80s. The departed Scott allegedly even had a hand in writing some of the song's lyric, though he was never credited.
