10 Best Slash Guitar Solos You Haven't Heard

1. Doctor Alibi - Slash

When Slash got around to making his first solo album, he pretty much had the entire rock world at his disposal. From off-the-wall choices like Adam Levine and Fergie to seasoned veterans like Ozzy and Chris Cornell, every single face of rock would have killed to have been involved with a Slash tune. It's one thing to work with an icon like Slash, but what happens when you combine him with someone equally as iconic.

Written by Slash and performed with Lemmy, "Doctor Alibi" is one of the nastiest riffs that Slash has ever put out, conjuring images of a street-rat junkie itching for his next fix. Though Slash may have been sober at this point, his playing was as chaotic as it was in the GNR days, as he turns in one of the most perfect rock and roll solos in recent memory.

This song doesn't really have the shredding prowess of something like "Sweet Child O Mine" or "Welcome to the Jungle," but when it comes to serving the song, every note is right where it needs to be.

Slash's guitar playing has always been amazing from just a technical standpoint, but by pairing it with a filthy blues rock jam, he turned in one of his most incendiary performances since his glory years.
