10 Best Slash Guitar Solos You Haven't Heard

2. Vengeance Is Mine - Alice Cooper

Slash has plenty of signature licks of his own, but he seems to have taken on a whole new life as a session guitarist.

From working with everyone from Michael Jackson to Carole King, the guy has probably earned himself an entirely new fanbase based on people who just know him as "the guy with the guitar and the top hat." Even though injecting hard rock into other genres is fun, it's always better when you can just kick back and deliver a ripping solo among friends.

When putting together material for your his next conceptual project Along Came a Spider, Alice Cooper enlisted the help of Slash once again to set the album off right. Centred around the story of a man hacking off the limbs of his victims to create a human spider, Slash's guitar is the ideal counterbalance to the ramblings of Cooper in the role of the madman.

As soon as Cooper has you in the palm of his hand, the chords give way to Slash's riffs, which take you down into Hell and back up again. It's always important to start an album off with a bang, but this performance from Slash had enough firepower to level a small city if it really wanted to.
