10 Best Two Guitar Bands

5. AC/DC

People tend to think that to be a good guitar player, you have to be able to play incredibly fast and leave your competition in the dust. On the other hand, the real way to make rock and roll what it is is to have feel, which AC/DC were masters of.

The guitar team of Angus and Malcolm Young were the kings of taking riffs that were incredibly simple and making them sound amazing. With just the simple strumming of chords, Malcolm gave birth to tracks that are mainstays of the rock genre like "Back in Black" and "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap." When his brother Angus wasn't banging out the riffs, he was delivering leads that were incredibly tasteful and runs that were as tight as the schoolboy uniform that he still wears onstage.

Are AC/DC guitar parts that difficult? No. Even the guitarists themselves would probably tell you that. Then again, the groove that has been laid down for decades by the Young brothers is almost impossible to reproduce. So the next time people start complaining about how AC/DC's music is too straightforward, just remember that the simplicity behind those riffs are what give each song its relentless power.
