7. Nickelback
The whole appeal of Nickelback has always been contentious amongst rock fans to say the least. Ever since first arriving on the scene with songs like How You Remind Me, it's no secret that these Canadian "icons" have garnered just as many haters in their day as they do supporters. Then again, it would be nice if the haters didn't actually show up to their show.
When playing in Portugal back in their glory days, the band caught a bit of flak when people started to throw rocks at them in the middle of their show. While it's still up in the air as to whether they were throwing them because of the music, Chad Kroeger was having absolutely none of it, asking if they wanted to hear rock and roll tonight or go home.
By the time he had come to chew the crowd out though, another rock ended up hitting him in the head, after which he ended the show and flipped off the rest of the crowd. This wasn't going to bode well for them going forward, with the band not really wanting to go on after being humiliated by the crowd they got. Even though anything can happen on the festival circuit, it gets a little complicated when you have to play alongside people that actively hate you.
