10 Biggest Hard Rock & Metal Gigs Of All Time

6. The Black Parade Is Dead - 2008

By the grace of some hard rock god, My Chemical Romance were able to bring the sounds of arena rock back in the mid 2000's. After coming off of their mainstream debut Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, the band outdid themselves yet again with the Black Parade, whose epic scope aimed for the fences and pulled off all the bravado of classic rock bands. With songs that already hit hard on record, all bets were off once the band descended upon Mexico.

Being the final stop on the tour for the album, The Black Parade is Dead is a showstopper, with the band running through the entire album from top to bottom in their trademark Black Parade attire. Even after they finish their magnum opus, the boys weren't finished yet, as they return in their standard rock uniforms to blast through their old hits like "I'm Not Okay" and "The Ghost of You."

Whether it be in character or as themselves, each member puts their all into this performance, with vocalist Gerard Way's channeling every inch of Freddie Mercury as he commands the crowd. At a time when hard rock seemed to be on its last legs, this one performance is a pure shot of adrenaline that could get any rocker hooked for life.
