10 Biggest-Selling Rock Music Albums Of All Time

6. Rumours - Fleetwood Mac

Of everything that goes under the umbrella of rock and roll, this might be the safest pick that you'd find on this list. Who are we kidding here? There are probably enough moms and dads of the world who consider this record the peak of '70s pop and the hardest thing that should ever be on the charts. When you have hooks like this though, it's not like those parents are wrong.

Following the trainwreck that was the two breakups in the band, Fleetwood Mac's tenacity brought us one of the most immaculate records in Rumours, with each song being about a certain part of the love gone sour. So why would people flock to a bitter breakup album and bring it up to 20 million copies? Well, it may be about heartache, but the songs themselves are some of the most cheery you will ever find.

Underneath all of the resentment of songs like Go Your Own Way or the heartache of Dreams, there are other songs that are a lot more optimistic about the future, like the unbridled joy of Don't Stop or the bounceback love of something like You Make Loving Fun. And even some of the rock leaning fans can still get on board with the elemental darkness behind something like the Chain. Hell, if it's good enough for Star Lord, it's good enough for us.
