10 Biggest Unsolved Mysteries In Rock Music History

8. Death of Brian Jones

The world of rock and roll has never really been fair, and no one would have understood that more than Brian Jones. Even though he was there during the inception of the Rolling Stones and had a wealth of musical knowledge to work with, he was always put on the side of the band, as both the press and even the rest of the band started sidestepping him when it came time to write. He was definitely not in the best of spirits when he was found dead shortly after being fired from the Stones, but the autopsy tells a little bit of a different story.

Though there’s no disputing that Brian was found dead at the bottom of his swimming pool in England, there have been many people that have suspected foul play ever since his body was recovered. Since no one was with him at the time of death, many people have speculated that the deed was done by somebody who worked on Brian’s personal staff, including some workers who had gotten into numerous altercations with Brian in the days leading up to his death.

It’s easy to just speculate about what happened, but it gets even more suspicious when you hear what went down well after the fact. Decades after his passing, there were members of Brian’s estate that claimed to have information about what really happened the day Brian died, only for them to pass away hours before they could either confess or have anything down on the record. All we’re left with is a bunch of unanswered questions and one of the greatest talents of the ‘60s snuffed out well before his prime.
