10 Biggest WTF Moments In 2000s Rock

8. Bizkit Take Over The Mansion

Limp Bizkit had been building up a steady reputation as ones to watch throughout the 90s, all leading up to the release of their third studio album... *sigh*

Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water.

It's still as embarrassing over 20 years later.

To celebrate the release of this musical masterpiece, Freddy D and his pals decided to throw a party. And not just any party - a Playboy Mansion party!

Oh boy...

On 28th September in the year 2000, Bizkit took over the Los Angeles mansion for a special launch event courtesy of their label, Interscope Records. Not only that, but MTV were there with cameras to film the event.

This was back when that channel still made music-themed content.

It wasn't just The Biz that were in attendance that night. Various celebrity pals also rocked up, including Courtney Love, Debbie Harry, Charlize Theron, Tony Bennett, and Verne Troyer.

Well, this was the year after The Spy Who Shagged Me came out, so that makes sense.

The whole thing is utterly captivating and serves as a bizarre capsule for a time and culture that has long since passed.
