Like many celebrities, Duff has some pretty obsessed fans. However this took a rather dark turn in 2006 when teenager Maksim Myaskovskiy began to stalk the singer and actress.
Once Duff's relationship with singer Joel Madden became public the teen further enraged. Duff and Madden proceeded to hire a private investigator, to whom Myaskovksly divulged his plan to attack and kill Duff at an event she was scheduled to attend.
Myaskovklsy was then arrested and jailed for six months.
