10 Cheesiest Glam Metal Songs Ever Written

4. Def Leppard - Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad

The Darkness
Mercury

Def Leppard's Pour Some Sugar On Me is a deserved, pleasurable classic. The same cannot be said, however, for Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad, which is exactly the kind of gushy tripe that has turned people against Glam Metal over the years.

Coming from the 1992 album Adrenalize, the song is easily one of Def Leppard's worst studio recordings, and is yet another song on this list that is all-but impossible to sit through without cringing. The song just makes you want to stare despondently out of a window, watching the raindrops bounce on the glass as you wonder why you didn't just put on a Motley Crue album instead.

If the miserable nature of the song isn't enough to convince you, then the cringe-worthy lyric writing will certainly do the job, featuring such lines as "Why save your kisses for a rainy day, baby let the moment take your heart away", and "I gotta have you baby, yeah", it's best just to chalk this one up as a sickly mistake by an otherwise awesome band.

This whole Adrenalize album ordeal is incredibly disappointing, especially considering Def Leppard was the band responsible for Pyriomania, which is one of the greatest albums ever to come from the sub-genre.
