10 Christmas Songs That Make You Want To Blow Your Brains Out

4. In Dulci Jubilo - Mike Oldfield (1975)

I have no lyrics to quote for this song because it is an instrumental piece of music - and a terrible, terrible piece of music that will haunt your brain for aeons if you ever have the misfortune to hear it, and that is a high probability if Christmas music is playing in the vicinity. Based on the carol 'Good Christian Men Rejoice', Oldfield goes guitar crazy in the tune. It honestly sounds like some of the worst music that was ever played during Pages from Ceefax. In fact the music from Pages from Ceefax is positively Beethoven-esque compared to In Dulci Jubilo. It is a very 1970s piece and it should stay in that decade along with ugly wall paper and brown flares. There is no reason for radio stations and shops to bombard us with this tune. It really is torture.
