10 Classic Rock Albums With Only One Bad Song
6. Living Loving Maid - Led Zeppelin
Okay, before anyone gets their pitchforks ready, Led Zeppelin II is one of the greatest records ever released by a hard rock band. Coming right at the tail end of the '60s, this was the blueprint for what the '70s were going to sound like, with Jimmy Page building riff rock from the ground up on nearly every other track. But even the legend himself has said that he doesn't really care for Living Loving Maid.
When put up against the rest of the songs on Zeppelin II, Living Loving Maid feels like it was just written in a couple of minutes to get the groove going before recording the actual album. Maybe it would work better if it were put in a better place on the album, but having it sandwiched between god tier songs like Heartbreaker and Ramble On just make it look that much worse.
Also, the actual lyrics of this song haven't aged too well either, coming off more whiny and complaining than actually forceful. Which is strange whenever you have radio stations that still insist on playing this song back to back with Heartbreaker. So first we go from a girl breaking your heart and then transition to how she's a heartless person? Yeah, it's no surprise why you're going to end up losing that argument, buddy.
