10 Classic Rock Albums With Only One Bad Song

4. The Chant Of The Ever Circling Skeletal Family - David Bowie

At the rate that he was going back in the mid '70s, it felt like David Bowie could start writing glam rock bangers in his sleep. Coming off of the covers album Pin Ups, Bowie managed to top his glam rock masterpieces yet again with Diamond Dogs, bringing the pirate mystique into the equation and having even more hits with songs like Rebel Rebel. And to close out the album we have...one of the strangest pieces of music to ever have the Thin White Duke associated with it.

It's not like Bowie doesn't know how to write a proper closer either. From the string accompanied Rock and Roll Suicide to the eerie sounds of the Bewlay Brothers from Hunky Dory, these are songs that make you think once the album is done playing. On the end of this album, this just feels like a bunch of musical gibberish that Bowie may have started out with to get the tapes rolling.

Even towards the end, the entire thing just sorta gives up, with one snippet of musical sound being repeated on a loop until the record finally peeters out. A lot of great albums should leave you wanting to play it over again, but this little snippet just makes you think that there's something wrong with your speakers after you're done.
