10 Classic Rock Bands That Never Made A Bad Album

5. Led Zeppelin

For most classic rock bands, the origins of all things comes back to the blues. As much as you might like to admit that rock is an extension of the soul, there isn't one rock icon who hasn't sat on a blues riff to form the foundation of their sound at one point or another. Then again, Led Zeppelin are the lynchpin where the blues veered into something much more exciting.

After shedding the skin of the Yardbirds, Jimmy Page made the supergroup to end all others with Zeppelin, with Robert Plant becoming the Golden God he was always destined to be. Across each album, you could practically hear the band going from strength to strength, eventually hitting the ceiling with the album Physical Graffiti at the height of their excessive lifestyle.

Even though many fans like to think of Graffiti as the last good album from these guys, other offerings like Presence and In Through the Out Door are still goliath works of rock brilliance. Sure, you could check out after 1975 if you wanted to, but why the hell would you when you have Achilles Last Stand and Fool In the Rain just on the horizon? Given that the only reason Zeppelin disbanded was John Bonham's death, the only thing that ended up slowing them down was just the nature of the rock and roll lifestyle.
