10 Classic Rock Bands That Released 5 Great Albums In A Row
6. Aerosmith to Draw the Line - Aerosmith
Over the years, many rock fans don't really know where to place Aerosmith. For as many great albums that they made in their prime, they have also made a ton of records that hold up as some of the biggest sellouts in rock history. The public may sour on Aerosmith from time to time, but these Bad Boys from Boston hit the ground running right out of the gate.
While the band got pegged as a Rolling Stones copycat in the beginning, their first album gave us future classics like "Mama Kin" and the first ever power ballad "Dream On." Moving on to Get Your Wings, the band really found their groove, with Steven Tyler settling into his raspy persona. By that point, all bets were off once they hit the studio, with the one two punch of Toys in the Attic and Rocks holding up as some of the greatest blues rock of the '70s.
Though the band was getting blitzed out of their mind behind the scenes, their indulgence album Draw the Line stills holds up as pretty great, even if you can hear that the chemistry is about to go off the rails. It would be a while before we heard another great Aerosmith album, but with the standard they already set, these guys had already etched their name into rock history.
