10 Classic Rock Bands That Released Three Perfect Albums In A Row

3. Queen

British rock band Queen are universally regarded as one of the most influential bands that music has ever seen irrespective of genre.

Fronted by arguably the most talented rock singer in the history of the genre, the enigmatic and flamboyant Freddie Mercury, Queen's original line-up was rounded out by guitarist Bryan May, drummer Roger Taylor and bassist John Deacon; all four of whom were ludicrously gifted songwriters.

Queen produced three albums between 1975 and 1977 that entrenched their legacy within the rock hall of fame forever. A Night at the Opera saw the debut of Bohemian Rhapsody, one of the most significant rock songs ever written, which to this date remains one of the most streamed songs of all time.

It was followed a year later by companion album A Day At The Races, with highlights including megahit Somebody To Love. Nobody had ever experienced anything even resembling Queen's eclectic, almost nonsensical lyrics, roaring tone and wacky complete shifts in style and tempo; both of these revolutionary albums confirmed their place atop the British rock scene of the time.

Finally, came News of the World. Contemporarily regarded as one Queen's best albums, it introduced fans to thumping anthems We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions; two of the most instantly recognizable famous songs ever written and now fixtures of nearly every conceivable sporting event.

In the tale of one of the most illustrious, prominent bands in rock history, this three album stretch stands out as particularly perfect.
