2. Station To Station - David Bowie
http://youtu.be/ZY77zDzNmYw Bowies damn lucky to be on this list, as the title track from his cocaine-induced album takes a whole minute to actually start, and another two minutes for Bowie to open his mouth. Beginning with an alarmingly processed sound of a steam train zooming by at full speed, the song creeps in and barely struggles to make it for the full ten minutes its almost as if Bowie and the band were both trying to play their instrument while snorting a toot or two at the same time throughout. But it remains a chilling masterpiece in dragged out/drugged up rock and roll, proof that Bowie could not only survive the post-glam music scene, but dominate it, just like he did with a fair chunk of musical styles in the 1970s.
