9. Black Rose - Thin Lizzy
http://youtu.be/TjjpBb9q1PA The title track from Thin Lizzys last truly classic album was the heaviest an Irish jig ever got. Constructed mostly from traditional Irish folk songs and given a then-contemporary hard-edged rock flavour, this spellbindingly-head banging mix of Phil Lynots vocals and Gary Moores proto-speed metal solos have the ability to give even the grungiest of rock fans a reason to be joyous. This is because above all the thrashing, spitting and bombast, its one of the happiest classic rock songs out there, if only in its performance. Thin Lizzy would last another three original albums after Black Rose, but those albums wouldnt have Gary Moore on them, instead replaced by a strong group of mixed-up guitarists and bags of drugs for the other band members.
