4. Wheels Of Confusion/The Straightener - Black Sabbath
http://youtu.be/AZkq5pd9WpQ If ever there was a song that defined the morose, doom-laden sound Black Sabbath perfected beyond anyone else, this is it. Tony Iommis guitar opens with a barrage of moaning, sludgy riffage before launching into a crushing performance from the entire band. What begins as a near-ballad turns into something an army could march to. As Ozzy wails like a flag billowing in the wind above such an army, Tony, Bill and Geezer are almost painful in their tightness the song builds and builds on its frantic nature, offering movement upon movement thats faster, harder and heavier than the last until the very end.
