Most of Noel Gallagher's influences in the early days are pretty easy to spot. Just from the look of Oasis during the Definitely Maybe, you can tell that people like the Jam and the Smiths were definitely up high on his list of greatest British acts of all time. He did have some more eclectic tastes though, and one of his biggest lifts actually came from Motown.

In a court of law though, the judge ultimately decided that Noel did lift a little too much, with Stevie's estate getting compensated for it.
