10 Covers You Keep Mistaking For The Original Song

6. Cum On Feel The Noize - Quiet Riot

Original Artist: Slade

Cum On Feel The Noize is arguably the single most popular song by glam metal band Quiet Riot and is considered to be one of the most iconic pieces of 80s metal. If you've ever listened to an 80s rock station on a summer day, you've undoubtedly heard this track on the airwaves a number of times.

This, of course, is despite the fact that it is a cover of a song that came out a whole decade earlier. It was originally released by the glam rock group Slade in 1973. And while the latter did do far better on the charts than the cover did, it's Quiet Riot's version that is the more talked about and listened to decades after the fact.

It's a bit ironic that one of the most defining works of 80s metal was actually a product of the early 70s, but that's the music world for you.
