10 Cracking Songs Released After The Artist Died

6. The Rev €“ Welcome To The Family

The Rev James Owen Sullivan, also known as The Rev, was the drummer of the heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold. On the 28th December, 2009, The Rev died, having overdosed on a concoction of drugs. A year after his death, the band released the album Nightmare and dedicated it to him. Although he wasn't drumming on any of the songs, he had written a few of them before he had died and other ones were written about him and celebrated his life. Though the last song that he had written was actually Fiction, the song Welcome To The Family which he co-wrote with band-mate M. Shadows is a better choice of song for this list, as it is closer to the band's usual style.
