9. A Brazilian Folk Duo Predicted A Bight Club Fire

They might not be the most famous names on this list, but Brazilian folk duo Teodoro e Sampaio deserve their place nonetheless.

Back in 2009, the pair released a song called "Pegou Fogo Na Zona," which told the surprisingly dark story of a nightclub catching fire with quite frankly disturbing lyrics:

"I've never seen so many women lying there on the floor / They all died hugged to the bottle / I went to the police station, explain what happened / The nightclub caught fire and the lady-wife died."

The song names one of the victims as an accordionist who was performing that night: "Picked up, picked up, set fire to the area / The accordionist died caught in the accordion."

Horrifyingly, four years later their prediction came true as in 2013 another Brazilian band called Gurizada Fandangueira appeared at Kiss nightclub in southern Brazil, and a fire broke out when their in-show pyros caught the ceiling. 230 people were killed, including the band's accordion player.
