10 Criminally Overlooked Metallica Tracks You Need To Listen To Again

http://youtu.be/4FKYsUEuvIo Hetfield might not have been kind to his parents in the past. Songs like Dyers Eve castigated his upbringing and more, laying bare problems which can hunt you down well into your adult life. With Mama Said, he opted for a different approach. Instead, a bittersweet, country lullaby allowed Hetfield to consider such matters from a new perspective. In a song laden with emotion, Hetfield€™s request for his mother to €œlet my heart go, let your son grow€ is almost too much. The song was a sure sign of Metallica€™s maturity and a show of their desire to try and grow old with dignity (which didn€™t exactly go to plan for a number of reasons).
