10 Criminally Underrated Beatles Tracks

1. Hey Bulldog

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxmP9UDkoGw The rocking, carefree Hey Bulldog is perhaps the greatest example of the unadulterated joy of being a Beatle. Recorded on the set of a planned promo for Lady Madonna, the band developed a half-sketched Lennon idea into one of their most fun and dynamic creations. Clearly influenced by the raucous piano of Lady Madonna, Lennon and the band produced an exhilarating rock n€™ roll number. Beatles engineer, Geoff Emerick claimed it was the last time the band worked as a true team on the song and every member is at the top of his game €“ perhaps the last true glimpse of the greatest band of all time working as a cohesive unit. McCartney in particular, produces an absolutely spectacular bass line, so if you ever need proof of Macca€™s musical chops, listen to the isolated bass of Hey Bulldog. Lennon himself delivers an incredible vocal, complete with added dog barks and howls from partner in crime McCartney. The song was featured on the Yellow Submarine album, but despite being loved by Beatles fans deserves universal acclaim as one of the highlights of their stellar back catalogue.
