10 Criminally Underrated Linkin Park Songs

9. Lost In The Echo – Living Things (2012)

Living Things is one of Linkin Park’s more forgettable projects. Though there are a number of solid tunes, the album feels like a step backwards after A Thousand Suns.

Having said that, the opening number kicks off the album with plenty of punch. This track also harkens back to the band’s signature style in terms of structure, with Shinoda rapping through the verses and Bennington taking the lead during the chorus.

But the electronic influences from A Thousand Suns are also front and centre, and as such, ‘Lost In The Echo’ almost feels like an amalgamation of much of the band’s previous work. Indeed, for those who are new to Linkin Park, ‘Lost In The Echo’ is probably the song which comes closest to representing the band’s considerable diversity.

And whilst this track isn’t amongst the top tier of Linkin Park’s discography, it’s still a terrific opening number and one of the best moments on Living Things.
