10 Decent Albums With Way Too Much Filler

3. In Your Honor - Foo Fighters

During the mid '00s, Foo Fighters actually had a pretty novel idea for their next album In Your Honor. Long before Dave Grohl would start making bold new experiments with every single album, the idea of splitting up the Foos' mellow and rock sides on two different discs felt like it could definitely work. And In Your Honor did just that...with a lot more bloat than anyone probably expected.

Coming down to 20 tracks across 2 discs, the entire project just feels like you're listening to two different records. Though the stadium rock of something like Best Of You packs a pretty hefty punch, the amount of adrenaline just feels like too much at once if you decide not to put this album on shuffle. Even though the acoustic side actually stands as the superior side, you wouldn't be shocked to hear that it gets a bit dozy in places, almost like it's too mellow for it's own good.

Hell, that's not even to say that this is even a bad album, considering that a good portion of these songs are among some of the best work that the Foos would ever come up with in their career. There's a good album in here somewhere...you just have to take a little while in order to fully grasp it.
