10 Deep-Cut Ghost Songs That You Need To Listen To
3. It's A Sin
Even since the early days of the band's tenure, cover versions have been a big part of what Ghost does. Each new album cycle sees a whole host of covers that have ranged from the likes of Abba to The Beatles, and it's hotly debated amongst fans as to which is their best effort when it comes to making a song their own.
For your writer though, it is their rendition of the iconic Pet Shop Boys track It's a Sin that takes the top spot.
Swapping out the synths for crushing guitars, the track is a perfect rock translation of a much loved classic that still manages to keep the sinister and sultry nature of the original in tact, all the while still sounding very authentically Ghost in its execution.
Sadly relegated to the special editions of 2018's Prequelle, this version is sadly missing from streaming services, which is a crying shame as it feels like not only the perfect companion piece to the album but a song that should be a part of the band's heavy rotation due to its obvious religious overtones and catchy chorus.
