10 Easy Guitar Riffs (That Don't Appear On Other Lists)

8. TNT - AC/DC

"TNT" is one of the most potent and highly energetic songs of the Bon Scott AC/DC era, perfectly encapsulating the vigour and sonic impactfulness that the band is still renowned for. The verses and choruses are simple, yet unforgettable, as Scott's lyrics compliment the power of the Malcolm brothers guitar work wonderfully. Mark Evans' bass guitar and Phil Rudd's drums also provide a suitable emphasis to the overall track. A highlight from AC/DC's early catalogue, "TNT" was one of the songs that launched AC/DC into international recognition, allowing them to become the musical legends that they are today.

The main riff of "TNT" is comprised of two power chords (E and A) and a low-G note. The chorus is essentially just this riff played backwards, meaning that the majority of this song can be played once this riff has been learnt. Barring the solo (which may take a few more years of playing to get the hang of), this is likely the easiest AC/DC song to learn. Uncomplicated, but still satisfying to learn, "TNT" is a song that is both equal parts powerful and fulfilling, and would prove very rewarding to a beginner who would try and learn it.
