10 Even More Perfect 1980s Rock Albums With No Bad Songs

6. Ozzy Osbourne - Blizzard Of Ozz

One of the true all-time great rock albums, Ozzy Osbourne's debut solo record Blizzard of Ozz is utterly flawless.

Released in late-1980 in the UK before hitting international markets early the following year, this is an album that showcased how good Ozzy could be when left to his own devices. Well, when teamed with legendary guitarist Randy Rhoads, at least. And bassist Bob Daisley, for that matter.

Either way, the point is that Osbourne proved he was fine away from Black Sabbath, and Blizzard of Ozz acknowledges this change of Ozzy's situation directly with Goodbye to Romance; a song that serves as an ode to the singer's departure from Sabbath.

It's Crazy Train that steals the show here, of course, with that track going on to become one of Ozzy Osbourne's greatest ever songs and one of the best in rock history - complete with Rhoads delivering one of the most recognisable opening riffs ever.

Interestingly, Blizzard of Ozz is an album which Sharon Osbourne described the recording of as one of the best experiences of her life... despite being in Los Angeles while the album was recorded in Monmouth, Wales... and despite Ozzy still being married to Thelma Riley at that time.
