10 Even More Underrated Red Hot Chili Peppers Tracks

7. She's Only 18 (2006)

For a song originally entitled "Funkadelicish To Me", its final name doesn't quite have the same punch. But, fear not. This is just good old fashioned sludgy rock.

The guitar is down right filthy, think Frank Zappa's Dirty Love meets Jimi Hendrix's Voodoo Child. You want something to strut down the street to with purpose? Here you go.

It was another example of the band opting for a huge classic rock sound on their choruses - Stadium Arcadium was full of them but this number was something special. You could hear the Funkadelic influences throughout. It had the layered backing vocals, the infectious bass lines, the fat drums and all the attitude of the '70s. Yeah, this was a great number.

It had one of the most explosive solos on the album as well. Frusciante wasn't afraid to ride the wah wah pedal and damn did he make that guitar cry.

When Kiedis isn't singing about his relationship with drugs, it's his relationship with sex. He'd done away with lines like "party on your p*ssy" at this point, opting for more subtle analogies, but the sexual connotations were still in full flow.
