10 Extreme Rock Albums That Will Blow Your Mind
7. Mr Bungle - Disco Volante
Could you really write up a list such as this without including at least one entry by former Faith No More front-man, Mike Patton?
One of a plethora of groups Patton has been involved with, Mr Bungle actually pre-date his involvement with Faith No More by several years.
Initially considering themselves a death metal band, Mr Bungle soon grew into something far more wide-reaching, incorporating elements of jazz, rock, Eastern music, the avant-garde and even easy-listening into their sound. Perhaps the last thing you could call Mr Bungle would be 'predictable.'
Disco Volante (Italian for 'flying saucer') is the band's second studio album, released 1995 through Warner Bros. From opener, Everyone I Knew In High School Is Dead, a slow-motion heavy metal chant which explodes into triple-speed madness, you know you're in for a wild ride.
